Alicante Journal of English Studies / Revista Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses has an anti-plagiarism policy in place in order to guarantee that all manuscripts are original.
The editors will run anti-plagiarism checks on submitted manuscripts during the formal review stage, before proceeding with the external peer review. Anti-plagiarism software Turnitin will be used to detect coincidences and similarities between texts submitted for publication and those previously published in other sources.
Suspected cases of plagiarism of which we become aware through other means, such as Internet searches, referee reports, third parties, etc. will also be investigated.
If suspected cases of plagiarism, self-plagiarism or redundant publication are detected, the submitted manuscript will be rejected outright by the editors.
