2 Journal History

The University of Alicante’s Department of English Studies founded Revista Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses / Alicante Journal of English Studies in 1988. From then until now, an issue has come out every year in paper format. Since 2010 it has also been published in electronic format through this website, where all issues are available in PDF, in full and for free. Starting in 2021, two issues will be released every year, one in January and another in July.

Also until 2023 (issue 39), works were published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. From 2024, they will be licensed under a Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
